Terms of Service
Last updated: September 29, 2026
These Terms of Service are an agreement between Rylo ("we", "us") and the business that installs or uses Rylo on a Shopify store ("you"). You accept them by clicking "Accept" in the app. The person accepting confirms they are authorized to do so for the store.
1. The service
Rylo is a Shopify app that tests several prices on your store's live traffic, measures profit per visitor, and moves toward the most profitable price. It can also run related tests you turn on, such as sales, bundles, free-shipping thresholds, and return offers. We may add, change, or remove features over time.
2. Your controls and responsibilities
- Rylo changes prices only inside the minimum and maximum you set for your store, a product, or a variant. You can pause, freeze, or turn off testing at any time.
- You are responsible for your prices and for complying with the laws and agreements that apply to them, including consumer protection and price-display rules and any minimum advertised price (MAP) agreements. Set your limits accordingly.
- Keep your costs and settings accurate; Rylo's results depend on them.
- Tell your shoppers, in your store's privacy policy, that you use a pricing app that stores a random identifier in their browser. See our Privacy Policy for details.
3. Results
Results shown in Rylo, such as profit per visitor, uplift, and recommended prices, are statistical estimates from live traffic. They are not a guarantee of future sales or profit. When you uninstall, Rylo tries to put products back on their original prices; check your prices afterward.
4. Fees
Rylo is currently free. If we introduce fees, we will tell you in advance, and no charge will be made until you approve it through Shopify's billing.
5. Data
Our Privacy Policy explains what data Rylo collects and how it is used. You own your store's data. For data about your shoppers, you are responsible and Rylo processes it on your behalf to provide the app.
Price-test data and model improvement. You consent to Rylo:
- keeping the price-test data generated on your store, such as prices shown, the time and context of each view and sale, quantities, order values, costs, promotions, and test results, in de-identified form, with store, product, order, and shopper identifiers removed and replaced by random keys;
- keeping that de-identified data after you uninstall Rylo and after your store's other data is deleted; and
- using it, together with de-identified data from other stores, to build, train, and improve Rylo's pricing, demand, and elasticity models for all Rylo merchants.
We will not sell this data, share it with anyone other than service providers who process it for us, or try to re-identify your store from it. This consent is given for the purposes of Shopify's API Terms. Data that is already de-identified cannot be traced back to your store, so it cannot be removed later.
6. Ownership
Rylo, including its software, models, and anything built from de-identified data, belongs to us. These Terms give you the right to use Rylo for your store while you have it installed.
7. Acceptable use
Do not misuse Rylo: no attempts to break its security, copy or reverse engineer it, interfere with other merchants, or use it for anything unlawful.
8. Disclaimers
Rylo is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not promise that Rylo will be uninterrupted or error-free.
9. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, or data. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or $100 if you paid nothing.
10. Ending the agreement
You can stop using Rylo at any time by uninstalling it. We may suspend or end your access if you breach these Terms or if we stop offering Rylo. Sections 5 through 9 continue after the agreement ends.
11. Changes
When we change these Terms materially, we will update the date above and ask you to accept the new version in the app before you continue using Rylo.
